Friday evening x 3-hour shift
Alternate Saturday or Sunday afternoon x 4-hour shift
The ability to drive and use of a car is essential.
The client is a 14-year old boy with cerebral palsy, visual impairment and epilepsy who lives at home with his parents and younger brother and attends a special school.
We are looking for two flexible, patient, reliable individuals with a good sense of humour, an ability to expect the unexpected and to think outside the box. Having excellent communication skills and maintaining a consistent and proactive approach, you will be working as part of a 2-person team providing respite in the client’s own home
You will encourage and support our Client to access leisure facilities, activities and other opportunities available such as bowling, outings and local events when covid restrictions allows.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support therapy input and plans as directed, promote independence and help the client to form appropriate new relationships to reach his full potential.
Whilst experience in this area of work is preferred, it is not essential as a full induction and training will be provided.
This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check.
