About the Role

We are looking for a warm, patient and reliable individual to work alongside the family to support and facilitate the independence of a 6-year-old girl who sustained a brain injury as a baby.

Working pattern:         

Tuesday and Thursday:  7am to 12.00 noon (term time)  (Flexible hours during school holidays)

Weekend shift per month: Either Friday 6pm to 12.00 noon or Saturday 12.00 noon to 6pm

The ability to drive using your own vehicle is essential.

We are looking for a warm, patient and reliable individual to work alongside the family to support and facilitate the independence of a 6-year-old girl who sustained a brain injury as a baby.

Our client needs to be assisted with her morning routine and transported to school in the Sketty area of Swansea, where she will require support during her morning session.  She enjoys attending local amenities such as the leisure centre.  Support is also required for our client in order to enable her parents to have time away from their caring role.

At times, it may be necessary to work additional hours depending on the activities that the client wishes to attend.

As a Support Worker you will work with independent therapists in enabling our client to participate in effective neuro rehabilitation and encourage and support her to access all these opportunities and more.

Experience of working with children and/or challenging behaviour is essential.  Full induction and training will be provided.

This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check.
